Automotive Reverse Camera Application
The goal of the project was to design and develop the prototype of image processing reverse camera system intended for automotive industry.
The proposed solution had to grab the CVBS reverse camera output, process it in real-time mode and finally present the result with pointed optimal parking path on the display. The streaming procedure was created using gstreamer library fitted with extended OpenCV image processing plugin.
The processed video stream is directly passed to frame buffer on which the developed Qt application draws optimal parking path. Additionally, the suggested path can be manually adjusted.
The prototype should have been integrated with current software stack running on i.MX6QP platform inside a car.
